Andy Ruiz Jr. vs. Anthony Joshua II - The First Press Conference!

On December the 7th in Saudi Arabia the probably biggest rematch of this year is going up!  IBF / WBO / WBA (Super) champion Andy Ruiz Jr. will defend his heavyweight title in the rematch against former World Champion Anthony Joshua.  Yesterday, both protagonists faced each other at a press conference.

Ruiz Jr. vs.  Joshua - Part II: Repeat or Revenge?

On June 1, Andy Ruiz Jr. managed one of the most spectacular boxing surprises when he dethroned unbeaten Anthony Joshua as heavyweight world champion.  At the legendary New York Madison Square Garden, the 'well-nourished' challenger scored a sensational TKO victory in round 7.

In the weeks and months after the sensational victory, Andy Ruiz Jr. experienced a wave of euphoria.  After all, he is the first boxer with Mexican roots, who made it to the heavyweight throne.  Anthony Joshua, who was considered by many experts before the Ruiz Jr. Fight as the undisputed number 1 in the highest weight category of boxing, conceded however harsh criticisms and had to endure a rather less enjoyable time.

After eternal back and forth regarding the negotiation of the already agreed before the first duel rematch, the new edition is now fixed for some time!  So, on December 7, Ruiz Jr. and Joshua meet in immediate rematch in Saudi Arabia.  That's where the first press conference took place yesterday.

Andy Ruiz Jr., for whom it will be the first competition as a heavyweight champ, is already sure that he will keep his title.  Ruiz Jr .: "I'll take my belts back to Mexico after December 7th!  I will win in the same style as the first fight.  I am still hungry and want to remain world champion for several years! "

His early adversary, Anthony Joshua, sees things differently!  Joshua: "Andy is currently the champion - it will stay that way until December 7th!  I will be in very good shape and will bring back my titles! "
