UCL Galatasaray Analysis

Under the guidance of veteran strategist Fatih Terim, Galatasaray players are gradually regaining their past glory, including two consecutive Turkish championships in the previous two seasons.  Remember, before the championship in 2017/18, right after Terim took the lead, Galatasaray had a three-season period that was surpassed by other opponents.

Entering the new season of 2019/20, Galatasaray is showing its disadvantage, when it has just 7 points after 4 rounds and currently has fallen to 5th place in the rankings, inferior to the top team Alanyaspor - those who  won all 4 matches played.  This is considered a poor performance for Terim's teachers and teachers, because last summer they strengthened their forces with the arrival of Ryan Babel, Emre Mor, Steven Nzonzi, Jean MichaĆ«l Seri, Christian Luyindama,  Lemina and especially Radamel Falcao.

Leaving aside the domestic playing field, the Galatasaray players will enter the Champions League campaign, a tournament that they probably only aim to try to find the 3rd place and the Europa League.  This is entirely reasonable, because apart from rival Club Brugge tonight, Galatasaray also encountered two big players of European football, Real and PSG.

This means that the encounter with Club Brugge tonight is very important, affecting the position of the Turkish team.  The disadvantage for Galatasaray is that they have to play away, but in return for the experience of this team in the European Cup is a little better than Club Brugge.
