Boxing: Deontay Wilder & Luis Ortiz



This coming Saturday at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, the highly anticipated rematch of the two top heavyweights will rise.



WBC heavyweight champion Deontay "The Bronze Bomber" Wilder and Cuban puncher Luis "King Kong" Ortiz both arrived yesterday evening at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas.  This coming Saturday sees the eagerly awaited rematch of the two, a rematch that has been in the headlines of the world's sports media for weeks and will be broadcast by the FOX Sport TV station on Saturday, November 23, in the US via pay-per-view.  View live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.  In Germany, the fight will be broadcast live from the streaming portal DAZN during the night from Saturday evening to Sunday morning, starting at 3:00.

"We're all here to see what will happen here on Saturday night in Las Vegas," said Wilder.  "Even though I knocked out Ortiz in our first fight, it was an amazing fight.  That was the fight in which my performance was questioned in between.  I now understand why none of the other big heavyweights want to compete against Ortiz.

"He's very dangerous and that's why I bless him with a second chance," said Wilder.  "The fans know that I'm always worth the money when I get into the ring.  Because people now know what I'm capable of doing with an opponent inside this ring.  I can not wait until it's Saturday night. "

"Deontay Wilder is a reminiscence fighter like I am and we will both deliver a big fight," said Ortiz.  "I think I'm the best and that's why I really want this rematch.  I'm totally focused on this fight and I'll do anything in this fight on Saturday night that at the end of the fight, the referee raises my hand to show victory in the air. "

"My life has changed a lot for the better since I came from Cuba to the United States," Ortiz said.  "Being in the US has allowed me to focus on my two dreams, once on healing my daughter from her serious illness and becoming the new heavyweight champion of the world.  These are not just my dreams, these are my tasks that I have to do. "

Even the boxers in the Wilder Vs.  Ortiz fight in the supporting program boxing arrived yesterday in Las Vegas.

The champion in so far three different weight classes, Leo "El Terremoto" Santa Cruz, would like to win another world title in the fourth weight class on Saturday night, when he defeated Miguel "El Michoacan" Flores for the WBA Super-Featherweight World Championship, in the co  -Main Event, the event starts in the Grand Garden Arena.

The undefeated rising star Brandon "The Heartbreaker" Figueroa defends his WBA super bantamweight title against ex-champion Julio Ceja, while undefeated Mexican power punch Luis Nery faces Puerto Rican-born Emmanuel Rodriguez in a showdown of two  former bantamweight champion, starts.
