Everton vs THFC

Last season, Tottenham successfully reached the top 4 of the Premier League and won the Champions League runner-up.  Therefore, this season they have received high expectations from experts and fans.  But the reality is not so beautiful, Rooster plummeted in an incomprehensible way this season.  After 10 rounds, the army of coach Pochettino just won 12 points and ranked 11th in the rankings, inferior to 4 to 8 points.  It is hard to think that the team that reached the Champions League final last year would have experienced such a bad period of performance.

The 3-0 defeat against Brighton was the opening of a series of three consecutive games without a win for Tottenham.  They then drew Watford 1-1 and in the most recent round lost 1-2 to the top team Liverpool.  Poor performance of the team makes coach Pochettino's future a hot topic with foggy media.  He and his students need a victory now to end those doubts.  However, the march to Everton's field is not simple, especially when Tottenham has poor performance every time away from home.  The rooster has lost all the last 4 marches, before that there were 3 draws.  So the last 7 away games they didn't know the smell of victory.

On the Everton side, the home team is also in very bad shape.  Last round, Everton lost 2-3 to Brighton, which was their 3rd defeat in the last 4 rounds in the Premier League.  So through 10 rounds, the Merseyside team just won 3 wins, drew 1 and lost the remaining 6 matches.  With 10 points, Everton ranked 16th in the rankings and only 2 points higher than the dangerous group.

In the latest match, Everton won against Watford, thereby winning the right to continue in the English League Cup.  It was a rare positive point in the gloomy days of teachers and coach Marco Silva.  But that is not enough to make them feel better when they have to welcome Tottenham at home.  The yard becomes an advantage for Everton because Goodison Park is where they won 4/6 matches played this season and the last 8/10 matches.  Especially when Tottenham's ability to travel has proven to be very bad, the more Everton must take advantage of this to get favorable results.
