Southampton vs The Blues

On St Mary's home ground, Southampton are wretchedly diving in the bottom of the group table to welcome representatives from the port city of Merseyside Everton are also full of instability right on creating a match in the 12th round. See The Toffees win  winning to claim the debt lost in the second leg last season thereby cutting the circuit 2 times in a row without winning.  Or The Saints will relieve pressure on the seat of coach Ralph Hassenhuttl after two consecutive rounds of losing and getting out of the relegation quagmire.

Immediately after being knocked out by Man City in the fourth round of the League Cup when losing 1-3, Southampton continued to be defeated by the Premier League champions with a score of 2-1 in the away field in the previous round, only this time The Saints  fought tenaciously even when midfielder James Ward-Prowse opened the scoring in the 13th minute but the second half broke with 2 goals from 70 minutes to 86. It was the 10th defeat of The Saints season.  hey, they are getting many 2nd losses at the moment, also the 5th loss in 6 recent rounds.  Southampton's biggest weakness is the weakest defense in the tournament with 27 goals, including a crushing defeat of 0-9 at home before Leicester City is flying high, the home field is also difficult to help Southampton with confidence because they lost to  4 times in the last 5 matches, the remaining match was only unexpectedly holding Manchester United which is full of instability.  This match they are missing two number one full-backs Cedric Soares who are still in pain, the Portuguese general has just returned from Inter Milan last summer and Ryan Bertrand has not yet finished the suspension.

Away from home is haunting Everton as they have lost 4 times in their last 6 matches but at least their performance has improved a bit with only 1 defeat in their last 4 matches.  They won Watford 2-0 at home in the fourth round of the League Cup and had a dramatic 1-1 draw at home with Tottenham in the previous round, they had a precious equalizer from the disgraced striker Cenk Tosun in the minute.  late in the match but paid with the terrible injury of midfielder Andre Gomes earlier.  It was the third Everton player to break a leg at home, previously James McCarthy and the current captain was defender Seamus Coleman.  Obviously 11 points and standing right on the red light group is not commensurate with the series of Everton's summer investment.
