Boxing: Dubois vs Fujimoto

Undefeated English heavyweight Daniel Dubois will be subjected to an interesting test when he faces Japanese Kyotaro Fujimoto, in an interesting clash to be held this Saturday at the Copper Box Arena, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London, England. The fight is promoted by Queensberry Promotions, of the laureate English promoter Frank Warren.

This Friday, the official weighing of this billboard was carried out. Daniel Dubois scored 240 pounds, while Kyotaro Fujimoto stopped the pendulum at 230.25, for this 12-round clash, in which the heavyweight international title of the World Boxing Organization (WBO) will be at stake.

Of the four major world heavyweight titles, the WBC belt is what Daniel Dubois dreams of surpassing everyone else. His rival and former training partner Anthony Joshua has the titles of the WBA, the IBF and the WBO, but it is likely that AJ will be forced to give up one of those belts.

Promoter Frank Warren wants Dubois to be in a privileged position to challenge any vacant title, but the 22-year-old fighter explained that it was Deontay Wilder's belt that he most coveted. "I definitely like the green belt. That is the best belt in my opinion," Dubois said.

"That is a belt that I really want to win. That said, I want to be the best fighter I can be and to be a champion is not an easy task. It will take 100% dedication on my part and more hard work after that. That is what I am looking for every day in the gym, "reiterated the English fighter.
