Cambiasso refused Watford's direction

Former Inter midfielder Esteban Cambiasso has reportedly dismissed Watford's managerial job before hiring Nigel Pearson.

The Premier League squad is owned by the Pozzo family, which also runs the Serie A club, Udinese.

According to the media outlet Calciomercato.com, Watford representatives met with Cambiasson in Milan last week to discuss the possibility of taking the lead after Quique Sanchez Flores was fired.

But the former Argentine star has reportedly refused to run for the English club, with the reasons given.

Cambiasso is qualified with all coaching licenses and was Jose Pekerman's assistant manager at Colombia in the 2018 World Cup.

The Argentine also has experience in England, playing for Leicester City, as well as major clubs such as Inter, Real Madrid and Olympiakos.
