Here's what to consume during the winter

Spring has asparagus and fresh vegetables, summer has berries and potatoes, autumn has grapes, cabbage and pomegranates, but winter dining tables do not have what we might call super-food.

But winter also has plenty of super foods available throughout the year, which doesn't cost much.

Avocado 🥑

Packed with healthy fats and fibers and possessing anti-inflammatory properties, avocados are a great choice for the whole body, especially the heart.

Beans top the list of amazing super foods.  Sure, canned beans are available year-round, but they are especially tasty in winter.

Pineapples 🍍

Like other winter super foods, such as citrus fruits, pineapple is a great source of vitamin C. It also contains extremely important mineral magnesium and the enzyme bromelain, which can help with digestion and reduce inflammation.

Red potatoes 🥔

Small red potatoes are good for reducing stress, thanks to their balanced content of carbohydrates, fibers and minerals.  All potatoes are a surprisingly good source of vitamin C and anthocyanin antioxidants.

Sour cabbage 🥬

Sour cabbage is an excellent source of probiotics, with good bacteria that can improve digestion and immunity, as well as an excellent source of Vitamin C. It is advisable to eat it in lukewarm heat as it destroys good bacteria.
