The UFC 249 event will be back on Saturday, May 9

UFC President Dana White has just announced a crazy plan to start the schedule of the planet's largest MMA tournament.

Recently, UFC made an official announcement about the matches that will take place on September 9 of the UFC 249. As expected, Justin Gaethje and Tony Ferguson will be the focus of this event, two punches.  age will confront each other for a temporary lightweight championship belt.

In addition to this event, there is also a match to protect bantamweight title of defending champion Henry Cejudo in front of a fist to challenge Dominick Cruz.  The event will take place at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida (USA) with the participation of boxer Francis Ngannou.

On the Instagram of famous journalist ESPN, Brett Okamoto revealed that Dana White wanted to present 3 events within eight days.  All will take place in Florida.  Joe Rogan, Jon Anik and Daniel Cormier will take the direct comment.  The status also mentions that the Island Dana White has announced will begin operations in June.

You may think this is an unreasonable notice by Dana White, but not on its official website, UFC issued this notice.  UFC has been inactive since the event with no audience in Brazil on March 14.  But the UFC president is still determined to bring the tournament back in the context of worldwide events and sports tournaments canceled or postponed due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

UFC 249 was almost held on a private island in California on April 18, but was eventually delayed at the last minute without the consent of officials in California and ESPN and Disney, as well.  UFC's broadcast partner.  However, later plans seemed to have been approved by Florida officials.
