LaLiga: GRA vs Real

Real Madrid will be looking for another big step to win La Liga when they go to Estád Nuevo Los Carmenes to face Granada on Monday night. Los Blancos only have 2 more victories to win the title, but Granada has ambition to rank in the top half and will enter this match after 3 consecutive unbeaten matches.

Granada returned to La Liga for the current season thanks to finishing second in Segunda last season and thus, consolidating their position in La Liga has always been their number one goal. El Grana has not finished higher than 15th in La Liga since the 1973-74 campaign but is currently competing for 6th place, which will be a great achievement for Diego Martinez's team as they are 9th , only 3 points behind Getafe for the Europa League ticket. Granada really struggled for form right after the tournament time back after the epidemic but they won 7 points from their last 3 matches with an impressive 3-2 win at Real Sociedad on Friday. Once again, Granada will not have the service of Maxime Gonalons, Alex Martinez, Quini and Neyder Lozano because of injuries, but Alvaro Vadillo can fix stomach problems in time for the clash on Monday.

Real Madrid have won eight La Liga victories in a row with a 2-0 victory over Alaves on Friday, with Karim Benzema and Marco Asensio on the scoring list for Zinedine Zidane's team. The capital giant is currently 4 points ahead of Barcelona when they face Real Valladolid on Saturday night and if Barca lose to Valladolid then Madrid can win the title by defeating Granada, regardless of what Barca can do in 3 matches. In the end, 2 victories were enough for Zidane's team to win the title from the Catalan giant. Both Sergio Ramos and Dani Carvajal were present after missing out on a clash with Alaves over a suspension, but fellow defender Nacho was sidelined with a muscular problem. Marcelo is also expected to miss the rest of the La Liga 2019-20 season with injury.
