UFC 251: Main Events & Main Preliminary

After a phase of events held in Las Vegas, the UFC heads to Yas Island to inaugurate Ilha da Luta with the great UFC 251 .

The card is the best offer of the year so far and features three belt disputes. In the main event, Kamaru Usman defends the welterweight title against a Jorge Masvidal who accepted the duel with just a week of preparation. In the second most important match of the night, Alexander Volkanovski grants Max Holloway an immediate rematch as king of the featherweight division.

The crown of the bantamweight is unowned and Petr Yan and José Aldo will face each other to define who will be the successor of the recently retired Henry Cejudo. In addition, Jéssica Andrade and Rose Namajunas will have an exciting rematch of the duel that previously earned the strawweight belt and Amanda Ribas will face Paige VanZant for the flyweight.

It's time for the long-awaited UFC 251 , an event that opens the infamous Ilha da Luta, also known as the UFC's marketing ploy to promote events in Abu Dhabi during the COVID-19 pandemic. Although the event has three great belt contests in its main portion, the preliminary card has great fights that cannot be left out.

Former light heavyweight challenger Volkan Oezdemir returns to the octagon to face former RIZIN champion Jiri Prochazka , a duel that promises to be very busy and aggressive. In the welterweight, the Brazilian Elizeu Capoeira faces the tough Russian Muslim Salikhov , in a duel of technical and aggressive strikers .

In featherweight, Makwan Amirkhani faces Danny Henry trying to get back on track. Finally, veteran Leonardo Santos returns to the UFC octagon to face the newly hired Roman Bogatov in the lightweight division, while Raulian Paiva faces debutant Zhalgas Zhumagulov in one of the best duels of the night, valid for the fly category.
