UEL: OLY vs Wolves

Wolverhampton Wanderers and Olympiacos met at Molineux on Thursday night with a 1-1 draw at the first leg on Greek soil. Anyone who goes on from this weekend's game will face Roma or Sevilla in the quarter-finals.

Wolves - Europa League

Having started the match against Chelsea among the substitutions, Joao Moutinho will almost certainly return to the middle line from the beginning when he is physically fit. With Wolves taking advantage of the away goal, coach Nuno could choose to follow 3-5-2, leading to Adama Traore starting on the bench. Diogo Jota will probably receive a nod to Pedro Neto and Olympiacos' former man, Daniel Podence, in attack. Despite being in a good position to earn the Europa League spot next season through the Premier League, Wolves now find himself having to win this tournament to earn the second consecutive year of being in Europe. 3 defeats from the last 6 matches brought Nuno Espirito Santo's team to the 7th position of the Premier League, which is not enough for the European qualifier after Arsenal's FA Cup victory. Nuno and his players are currently tasked with trying to win this tournament, success that will bring the club their first ever Champions League appearance. Based on their most recent efforts in key matches, it seems unlikely at this stage, but Wolves has shown in the past that they are capable of coping with adversity. Raul Jimenez will hope to improve the new record with 2 goals in the last 7 appearances.

Olympiacos - Europa League

Olympiacos is experiencing sublimation emotions when winning the title of the Greek national team with 18 points more than the pursuing group. Although there was disappointment after missing out on an unbeaten campaign by losing a last-minute defeat to the closest challengers PAOK on July 12, Olympiacos responded with a 3-0 victory after that, which would reassure them. an Pedro Martins that his players were in a state of concentration before the trip to England. After holding Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League earlier this season, Olympiacos scored a famous victory against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in February. Olympiacos FC has successfully tied coach Pedro Pedro for another 2 years after he led Olympiacos 95 games and reached the semifinals of the Greek Cup last season.
