The winning team will meet either Lincoln City or Liverpool to compete for a place in the quarter-finals of the tournament.  Experts understand that Leicester and Arsenal, the team with the better team depth will win tickets.

Leicester and Arsenal both have an impressive start in the Premier League this season.  Both teams won all 6 points after 2 rounds to temporarily be in the top 3 leading teams.  With Leicester, they beat West Bromwich Albion 3-0 and Burnley 4-2 to now lead the table.

Meanwhile, Arsenal beat Fulham 3-0 and West Ham 2-1 in the first two Premier League matches.  Before that, Mikel Arteta's teachers and students also won the Community Shield when they defeated Liverpool after a penalty shootout of 11m (2 main innings drew 1-1).

Last weekend, despite the hardship Arsenal also had all 3 points against West Ham thanks to a late goal from Eddie Nketiah.  1 day later, Leicester were led by Burnley but successfully upstream to win 4-2 on aggregate.

The focus of the two teams will now be on the League Cup.  All feel the rush of football in a special season.  This is only the third time that Leicester vs Arsenal have faced the League Cup.

In the last 2 meetings, each team has 1 victory.  Leicester is not a comfortable opponent for Arsenal in recent times.  They have all lost in the last 3 meetings on King Power field in all competitions.

Meanwhile, Leicester only lost 1 of the last 14 matches in the League Cup.  They have reached at least the quarterfinals in the last 3 seasons in the tournament.  It's an impressive achievement, but Arsenal has its own mark.

The Gunners have made it through the 3rd round of the League Cup at 16 over the past 17 seasons.  Only once they failed to do that was the defeat against Southampton in the 2014-15 season.

Under Arteta, Arsenal performed better than expected in the cup competitions.  In August, they won 2 titles in the FA Cup and Community Shield respectively.  In the semifinals and finals of the FA Cup, Arsenal overcame Man City and Chelsea while in Community Shield was Liverpool.

Through defeating Fulham and West Ham, Arsenal showed that they also know how to handle weaker opponents.  However, Arteta will be forced to calculate when this weekend, his team will be guests of Liverpool in the Premier League.
