EFL Cup: The O's vs Spurs

This is a terrible difference match in round 3 of the British League Cup 2020/21.  While host Leyton Orient is only playing in League Two (Rank 4), Tottenham is a big name in the Premier League, capable of competing for the championship.  Not stopping there, before this match, it was reported that more than 10 players in the first team of Leyton were tested with Covid-19, meaning they were not eligible to play.  Even the possibility of the match being canceled means Tottenham will win the right to continue without playing.

In fact, even if the game goes on normally or Leyton can launch the strongest team, it is difficult for them to support Tottenham's strength, even though Spurs does not need to launch the strongest team.

For a long time, the big men often only see the League Cup arena as a training ground for the number of reserve players or young talent, but with Jose Mourinho only, the English League Cup is still valuable.  It should be remembered that, up to now, he has been crowned four times with his team in this arena (3 with Chelsea, 1 with MU).

To get that, of course Mourinho has to take a certain seriousness with the tournament, even from the very first rounds (that is to arrange a strong enough team with the goal of winning, not kicking for fun.  ).  However, in the upcoming match with Leyton, it is difficult for Mourinho to be "serious".

It is not necessary to discuss the Leyton factor "both weak and lacking" if the match still has to take place, Tottenham itself is facing an extremely terrible schedule.  After the match in the third round of the British League Cup, Tottenham had to quickly fly to North Macedonia to be Shkendija's guest in the third qualifying round of Europa League (which took place at dawn of this Friday in Vietnam time) and then quickly  return home to welcome Newcastle in the third round of the Premier League on Sunday (September 27).

Therefore, it is almost certain that the players who played in the 5-2 victory over Southampton a few days ago will have a break.  But this is also an opportunity for Spurs to prove to everyone how deep his squad is.

More gently, coach Mourinho has the opportunity to test the capacity of some students who are not in the "untouchable" category.  These people themselves must also prove to the Portuguese teacher that they deserve to be in the Tottenham squad.

For example, Serge Aurier, the number 1 right back last season, has now lost his place in the hands of rookie Matt Doherty.  Or Moussa Sissoko, once a favorite game of Coach Pochettino, but is now slowly falling into oblivion.  Or Erik Lamela, a midfielder who is not great at Tottenham and may have to leave in the rest of the summer 2020 transfer window if he cannot show himself, especially after Tottenham has just reunited Gareth Bale.

Despite being known as "B team", the quality of Spurs is still above the level of host Leyton Orient, who almost does not want to play after the Covid-19 incident.  The only problem is how the Spurs players will perform.
