Serie A: Rome vs Juve

The betel nut team only finished 5th in Serie A last season. Therefore, they will be absent from the Champions League this season and be satisfied with a place in the Europa League. For 2 consecutive seasons, "Giallorossi" could not be in the top 4 of the strongest teams in Serie A and it was the decline in terms of performance and position of the home team Olimpico. In the context of Inter Milan's strong comeback at the hands of Antonio Conte, Atalanta prolongs the fairy tale and Lazio continues to revive, the poor performance of Roma makes those who love the team.

In the opening match of Serie A, Roma were held by Verona at Marc'Antonio Bentegodi in a goalless match. That was the result of a volatile summer when Olimpico Stadium broke up with Edin Dzeko (to Juventus), Kolarov (to Inter Milan), Patrick Schick (to Leipzig), Alessandro Florenzi (to PSG). In the opposite direction, Roma has officially owned Mkhitaryan, Pedro in a free form from Arsenal and Chelsea. They are also working hard to buy off Chris Smalling from Man United. Meanwhile, the talented young midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo was injured while serving the Italian team and is likely to retire by the end of 2020. The turmoil made Fonseca's army difficult and the Verona draw. Alarm bells for AS Roma in the upcoming thunderstorm season.

Pirlo presented a new Juventus with a 3-5-2 tactical scheme similar to the Conte era when Pirlo himself played the central role of the midfield. Before Sampdoria, Dybala, Bernardeschi or Alex Sandro were absent, while rookie Arthur was on the bench for the whole match. Pirlo firmly affirmed the innovative strategy he would implement at Juve when introducing three new faces in his first match of the season.

Kulusevski stood with Ronaldo in attack, McKennie in midfield, and 21-year-old Frabotta kicked the left wing of midfield in the 3-5-2 diagram. Pirlo's students did not seem to find it difficult to operate a new philosophy when Kulusevski opened the score in the 13th minute. 10 minutes later, Cristiano Ronaldo filled his name on the scoreboard with a cross-corner shot in the penalty area to score 3-0. It was the perfect result of Pirlo and his students.

Of course, Pirlo has a lot of work to do to build Juve as you like. However, the first signals were extremely optimistic and if there are enough right people, Pirlo's Juve will be perfect. There is still time until the transfer market closes. New men will arrive and Pirlo's army will be much more worth seeing.
