EFL Cup: Liverpool vs Gunners

For the second time after 4 days, Liverpool welcomed Arsenal to Anfield.  Before that, despite being led, The Kop won 3-1 in the Premier League.  Looking ahead, the two teams will once again compete in the 4th round of the British League Cup.

Arsenal is certainly on the rise and on the right track under Mikel Arteta.  However, the defeat a few days ago shows the fact that Liverpool is still one level above them.  The statistics of the great war at Anfield also show that.

Liverpool held the ball 66% and had 21 shots, both times more than Arsenal (34% and 4).  In total, the Red Brigade had 61 opposition finishes on goal after just three Premier League games, at least 17 more than any other team.

After the game, Arteta himself had to admit Liverpool was superior in many ways compared to Arsenal.  But there are also some positive things for the typical Gunners, which is the fact that they once unlocked the key to the goal of the English champions, unfortunately Alexandre Lacazette did not win over Alisson when faced.

Overall, though, Liverpool win is deserved.  It is another clear message about the desire to conquer the army led by Jurgen Klopp.

In the last 4 matches, Liverpool have won 3 matches in the Premier League and 1 in the League Cup.  In it, they hit the opponent's net to 16 goals.  At home, Liverpool becomes even more terrifying with 16 wins after the last 18 games in all competitions.

Anfield is always a place where audiences can wait for the net vibrations and interesting emotions.  Liverpool's last 3 home matches appeared 19 goals scored at both ends with 12 of which belonged to the host.

Particularly the Liverpool vs Arsenal match, they created an unbelievable 5-5 score at Anfield, also in the League Cup nearly a year ago.  Entering the 11m penalty shootout, The Kop won before making a stop in the quarter-finals against Aston Villa with a squad of young players.
