EPL: City vs Arsenal

Manchester City returned home after only earning 1 point on rookie Leeds' field, their opponent in round 5 is Arsenal. With the last disappointing performance, this is predicted to be another difficult match for Pep Guardiola's army.

Manchester City had the toughest start to the Premier League in recent years. Having only won 4 points after the first 3 matches, it cannot be denied that the gameplay is having many problems. The first is the personnel on public goods when both Aguero and Jesus are injured, deadlocked in the finishing stage. Meanwhile, although they spend a lot of money on defense, systematic mistakes happen regularly. All shown in the 2-5 defeat against Leicester or the 1-1 draw with Leeds recently. It will not be surprising if they continue to be bogged down by Arsenal's pragmatic play in the next match.

After the FA Cup and English Super Cup double, Arsenal went on to win 3 impressive Premier League victories, knocking Liverpool out of the League Cup. Under Arteta, Arsenal is no longer a flying team, but instead is a solid and extremely practical game. In the past 3 months, defeating Liverpool 3 times, Man City and Chelsea, all showed bold tactical imprints. With a series of 9 victories after 10 matches in all competitions, this is the period when the Gunners are extremely sublimated. Tight defense and rapid counterattack have become brands that bring success.

Organizational ability is Arsenal's strong point, while Manchester City is in a period of uncertainty. The open match is very difficult to happen, the last time we met only 2 goals.

Arsenal are completely underdog when looking at the history of their confrontation. Even the last 8 times they met they got 7 failures and got 1 victory. However, when the Gunners lost themselves, the current story will be very different when Arteta and his students are back strong. The 2-0 victory over Man City in the League Cup in July was the milestone that opened Arsenal's sublimation series.

Arsenal's recent form is really convincing. 9 wins are like splitting bamboo on all fronts and 2 titles, losing only 1 match at Anfield. On his side, Manchester City in an alarming situation, a struggling point against Leeds and a 2-5 defeat against Leicester more or less affected psychology.

Manchester City's home field strength is undeniable, but that doesn't mean they have an easy match.
