Ligue 1 : FCN vs PSG

Nantes has just regained the joy of victory after 4 consecutive rounds of only draws and losses by defeating Brest at home 3-1 in round 7.

However, Canary's excitement was interrupted when the match with Lens (round 8) was postponed because 18 players of the French team were infected with Covid-19. Two weeks off the game, Nantes now have to host PSG in the context of their four pillars that are also corona-positive, including defenders Fabio, Sebastien Corchia, defensive midfielder Andrei Girotto and striker Kalifa Coulibaly. Not only that, coach Christian Gourcuff did not know how to patch the defense when he lost defender Nicolas Pallois because of a suspension.

For their part, PSG came as a guest at La Beaujoire, where they only lost 1 in the last 10 encounters with Nantes (8 wins, 1 draw), without many pillars due to injury and suspension. Neymar has just joined the list of patients at PSG, which already have Marco Verratti, Mauro Icardi, Leandro Paredes, Julian Draxler and Juan Bernat. And Angel di Maria played the last match in a four-match suspension for spitting and racism in the French derby with Marseille in mid-September 2020.

However, unlike Nantes colleague, coach Thomas Tuchel has many players in the hands that can fill the void of the aforementioned pillars. Accordingly, with a brilliant performance in the last two matches, striker Moise Kean continues to be in the starting lineup at the top of the attack. Support for the 20-year-old Italian striker Kylian Mbappe and Pablo Sarabia - who played well on the pitch for injured Neymar in a 2-0 win over Istanbul Basaksehir.

The midfield PSG will also be strengthened thanks to the return of Idrissa Gueye after injury. Although this is not the strongest team, but before a favorite opponent like Nantes, is falling apart because of Covid-19, coach Tuchel's team is completely strong enough to win temporarily to temporarily dominate the top of the table.

It should also be emphasized that PSG is winning 9, drawing 1 and losing only 1 in the last 11 trips away from home in the number 1 tournament in France. Rookie Lens is the only team that makes Tuchel's teachers and coaches empty-handed in the above series. More specifically, there are up to 5 matches out of these 9 victories, PSG did not concede once and scored at least 3 goals. It seems that this will be another easy victory for PSG to help Mbappe and his teammates prepare best for Leipzig's away trip in the Champions League in the middle of next week.
