Boxing: Daniel Dubois vs Joe Joyce

Heavyweight hit at the weekend: Daniel Dubois vs.  Joe Joyce!

On Saturday an absolute heavyweight tidbit rises in the London borough of Westminster: The two undefeated World Cup contenders Joe Joyce (11-0-0, 10 Ko's) and Daniel Dubois (15-0-0, 14 Ko's) box for three important titles  !

Dubois vs.  Joyce: The (British) duel of the future!

The heavyweight is currently at home in Great Britain: Tyson Fury (WBC) and Anthony Joshua (IBF, WBO, WBA-Super) have already made sure that all of the major world championship belts are currently in British possession.  Over the weekend, two more boxers from the UK are getting ready to rise to the world championship throne as well next year.

Daniel Dubois

When Joe Joyce and Daniel Dubois face each other in London on Saturday evening, the British fans can hope for a promising duel.  After all, it's about the European Championship and the British championship title.  Also, the WBC Silver Belt will be at stake.

Many experts consider Daniel Dubois a favorite.  The 23-year-old Ko-King has won each of his 15 professional fights (14 of them by knockout).  At the WBO, the youngster is already in second place.  Because of his short-round victories and his aggressive fighting style, Dubois is somewhat reminiscent of the young Mike Tyson, who once also came into possession of a world title at a very young age.

Joe Joyce

But before Daniel Dubois gets his (possible) first World Cup chance, he must first defeat his compatriot Joe Joyce, who is twelve years older.  This one is also blessed without a defeat in his fight record.  In terms of experience, Joyce has the advantages on his side.  At least Joyce - unlike Dubois - can look back on a long and successful amateur career.
