EPL: Fulham vs West Ham

Fulham vs West Ham

During his time, Fulham coach Scott Parker was a monument of West Ham.  But now, The Hammers are becoming a threat to the 40-year-old former midfielder.  Because in the context of the crisis, his team had to encounter an opponent who was at the peak of his form.

When West Ham spent £ 7 million to recruit Parker from Newcastle in June 2007, perhaps they did not expect that they had just welcomed a future monument of the club.  Because more than four seasons with The Hammers, this midfielder shines most brightly in his career.  Here, Parker became the first person to be elected twice in a row as "Hammer of the Year" since the Julian Dicks in 1997. Also in the West Ham shirt, he also won the "  Player of the Season "of the British Football Correspondents Association (FWA) 2010/11 season.

But those beautiful memories were long gone.  Now Parker is a gray color.  The recent 0-2 defeat to Leicester pushed his team into a very strict situation.  Brighton's unexpected victory over Liverpool made the gap between Fulham and the safe position widened to 8 points.  This is a big gap, if you know that Parker's teachers and coaches have only won 14 points from the previous 21 rounds.  From the beginning of the season, Fulham have just won 2 Premier League games.  But to turn the past, up to 13/15 teams that have won 2 or less matches at this point in the following season are relegated.

So, in the context of a serious crisis, Fulham had to welcome a sublimated West Ham.  The impressive 3-1 win at Aston Villa in the previous round was the 7th in the last 8 matches of The Hammers in all competitions, and also their fourth consecutive away victory.  And although ranked 5th, but the gap between West Ham and Top 4 has been shortened from 4 to 2 points.  This means that a follow-up victory could put the army under coach David Moyes into the group of teams with tickets to the Champions League next season.  From the present, this was clearly a mission within their grasp.

Because not only now supports West Ham, but also the past is also on the away side.  In terms of head-to-head achievements, The Hammers cut off the home team with 49 wins, 23 draws and 32 losses after 104 previous encounters, including the last 5 wins.  , Fulham have not won WLMan 19 recent London derby matches in the Premier League, and even won only 2 out of 57 maximum points from those confrontations with neighboring teams.

That series of bad achievements will probably continue to last after tonight's match.  The team nicknamed "Sledgehammer" will "beat up" the host right at Craven Cottage.  Because as analyzed above, Fulham have no basis to think of winning against an opponent than me in all aspects.  Not to mention the home field is not sure to be the advantage of The Cottagers, as they have lost all 4 recent matches at the home.
