EFL: Sheffield Wed vs Cardiff

Sheffield Wed vs Cardiff

The British First Division 2020/21 is moving to the final decisive stage. Sheffield Wed still struggled in the relegation battle so far. After 38 games played, they only have 32 points, standing the penultimate position and 7 points behind the safe area. In fact, the situation would not have been so dire if they had not been deducted 6 points before the season for violating the financial regulations (ie Sheffield Wed had exactly earned 38 points).

Sheffield Wed vs Cardiff

This round, although played at home, Sheffield Wed has to face a much higher standing Cardiff (8th) and still hopes to step into the promotion play-off group (Top 6) when the difference is only 5 points.

Therefore, it is completely understandable that despite having to do differently, Cardiff still can be placed on the upper door. Only the Dong Ball (1/4) handicap seemed a bit negative for the visitors.

In fact, Cardiff is unstable: losing Asian rate (TLCA) in the last 4/5 matches. Meanwhile, Sheffield Wed, although not much prosperous professionally, but in the last 4 rounds, they have not lost to Asia. In addition, the only time as a guest of Sheffield Wed that Cardiff accepted 1/4, they had to leave in a blank scene. Therefore, Sheffield Wed choice is still more reasonable.

The last 10 encounters, Sheffield Wed won 3, but Cardiff even won 1

10 times against Cardiff at home recently, Sheffield Wed won 5 (lost 2).

Sheffield Wed: Injuries from Luongo, van Aken, Cameron Dawson, Odubajo and Iorfa.

Cardiff: Joe Bennett, the injured Joel Bagan; Sol Bamba is absent.
