The fight, which is promoted by Hennessy Sports, will be televised on Channel 5 in the UK and Ireland.

Both star fighters surpassed the strict rigor of the Roman, marking Sam Eggington 158 pounds and Carlos Molina 159 pounds at Coventry.

Sam Eggington (29-7-0, 17 KO's) is a former British, European and Commonwealth champion.

In his last performance, last December, Eggington made a show of power shots, defeating former British champion and world title challenger Ashley Theophane by six-round TKO.

In a 36-fight, nearly nine-year career, working-class hero Sam Eggington has fought virtually everyone and generally on the road, on short notice, in fights he was not supposed to win and ultimately, of wrong decisions. But, the Briton hopes that suffering and pain will change with a victory over Molina.

The 27-year-old Eggington will risk his career against the dangerous Carlos Molina (37-11-2, 12 KO's), who reigned as the IBF super welterweight world champion and enters the brawl with vast experience.

Molina has faced the who's who of champions, including Julio Cesar Chávez, Jr. (twice), Mike Alvarado, Erislandy Lara, Kermit Cintron, James Kirkland, Ishe Smith, Cory Spinks and Cornelius Bundrage.
