Daniel Dubois vs. Bogdan Dinu

It's done: Tomorrow, Saturday, in Telford, UK, the highly anticipated return of British heavyweight hopefuls Daniel Dubois (15-1-0, 14 KOs) will take place.  Last fall, the 23-year-old suffered a major setback when compatriot Joe Joyce inflicted his first professional defeat.  To make matters worse, Dubois suffered a fracture of the orbital bone in his face during the fight and had to take a break of several months.

Since then, the strong Brit (knockout rate: 87.5%) has had two coach changes behind him: if he first swapped Martin Bowers for Billy Joe Saunders coach Mark Tibbs, he has now arrived at Shane McGuigan.  He is considered one of the top coaches in England and was most recently able to lead cruiserweight Lawrence Okolie to World Cup honors.  Dubois has to prove against 34-year-old Romanian Bogdan Ding (20-2-0, 16 KOs) whether this cooperation is already bearing fruit.

This had already announced several times in the run-up to the fight that he wanted to inflict another premature defeat on Dubois.  The fact that the 1.96 m tall giant traveled to the island with knockout intentions could reveal his weight: Dinu weighed in at 118 kg and is therefore heavier than ever before - without coming across as untrained.  At Dubois on the other hand, a befitting 109 kg were recorded.
