Boxing: Conor Benn vs. Adrian Granados

Conor Benn vs. Adrian Granados

The British welterweight Conor Benn wants to fight for a big title no later than next year!  On Saturday, the 24-year-old son of former world champion Nigel Benn will first step into the ring against Adrian Granados.  (DAZN broadcasts live from 8:00 p.m.!)

He is considered one of the greatest British talents - Conor Benn (18-0-0, 12 Ko’s).  The 24-year-old defeated Sebastian Formella from Hamburg clearly and convincingly on points in November last year.  In his last competition in April, he gave Samuel Vargas no chance and won in the first round.

Next Saturday evening, the previously unbeaten welterweight wants to deliver another convincing performance!  Conor Benn, son of the former middle and super middleweight world champion Nigel Benn, is determined to box for an important belt - preferably even for a World Cup.

After all, the youngster is defending his WBA Continental belt for the fifth time at the weekend.  The experienced Adrian Granados (21-8-3, 15 Ko’s) has been signed as a rival.  The 31-year-old Mexican has already been in the ring with elite boxers like Shawn Porter and Danny Garcia.

Adrian Granados made perhaps his best appearance in February 2017, when he brought ex-champion Adrien Broner into great distress and in the end, according to many contemporary witnesses, wrongly suffered a narrow point defeat.

Nevertheless, Conor Benn is a clear favorite against his challenger seven years older than him.  Boxing will take place on Saturday in the "Matchroom Fight Camp" in Brentwood (Essex), UK.  DAZN will broadcast the event live from around 8:00 p.m.
