Captain Messi starts the season with the trophy

Barcelona has won Spain Super Cup tonight as it has beaten 2-1, Sevilla

Lionel Messi has led the cup for the first time as captain of Barcelona since at the end of last season Andres Iniesta left the Catalan team.

For the first time, Spain's supercup is only one match and is the first time it has been developed outside of Spain, Morocco.

Sevilla started the match better and came first in the ninth minute, where Pablo Sarabia took advantage of a good opportunity and scored the first goal.

Barcelona immediately reacted with some quick strike but the equalizer came at 42 minutes.

Lionel Messi hit the corner with a free kick, but the ball went off to Gerard Pique who equalized the score.

1-1 finished the first half.

In the second half, Barcelona continued the attacks but Sevilla managed to protect themselves very well.

As the match extended to Ousmana Dembele, who miraculously broke through the home side's central defense, making it 78 minutes into the match.

After the Sevilla strike, Sevilla continued to pressure and win a penalty in 90 minutes but Ter Stegen expects the penalty to be maestral, the strike of Ben Yedder.

This is Messi's first trophy as team captain, since he had previously won trophies but they were upgraded by Xavi or Iniesta.
