Doctors warn of the dangers of dirty wallets

Over 90 percent of wallets contain bacteria, while women are more likely to have unclean wallets.

Researchers find that women have the most unclean wallets because they leave them in the toilet and kitchen, while men usually wear them in their pockets.
"Wallets and bags are an endless source of bacteria and infectious diseases," the research published in Advanced Biomedical Research writes.
Mauritius University has conducted a survey with 145 wallets, 80 women and 65 men.
The results showed that 95.2 percent of wallets had bacteria.
Only 2.1 percent of women clean their wallets and bags once a month, and 81.5 percent do not empty them once.
It has been found that leather wallets have fewer bacteria, the cause of the flat surface, where bacteria can not stand.
