The use of this highly used medicine risks sterilization in men

Excessive and long-term use of ibuprofen, one of the pain medicines widely used by everyone, can make men sterile.

This is what a team of Danish researchers at the University of Copenhagen has discovered, following a study conducted.

More specifically, ibuprofen causes an overproduction of testosterone, the main male hormone, which causes the testicles to have difficulty in functioning and consequently endanger fertility.

Luckily, it is a temporary condition whose adverse effects disappear immediately after the medication is stopped.

Study leader David Møbjerg Kristensen says that use of ibuprofen for a long time can cause irreversible damage.

To achieve this conclusion, a study was conducted in 31 men, aged 18 to 35
.
17 of them were given a grain in six weeks, 14 others the maximum dose of ibuprofen or 600 milligrams twice a day. It was noted that who regularly dipped ibuprofen and for a long time, had problems with fertility.

In more detail the details of the study were published in the scientific journal "PNAS".
