EPL: Liverpool vs Brentford

Both had just returned from the FA Cup, but while Liverpool were staying at Anfield to host Shrewsbury Town ,  Brentford had to fly to Port Vale’s yard to be a guest. Obviously, although the ball has not yet rolled, it is easy to see that the fitness of The Kop players is somewhat superior to the away team. With the support of the home fans, the ability to win 3 points of coach  Jurgen Klopp ‘s teachers and students  is very large.

Over the weekend, Liverpool had an easy 4-1 victory over Shrewsbury Town. A victory is not unexpected, but has great spiritual significance. Because after 2 consecutive games without winning in the Premier League, The Kop has found its winning circuit again. With being 11 points behind the top of the table Manchester City and playing less than 1 match, 3 points is a mandatory goal of the home team.

This match, Liverpool suffered a big loss when two players in the attack system, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah, were absent at the same time because they had to attend CAN 2021. In addition, midfielder Thiago Alcantara will also not be able to participate because injury. However, The Kop enter this match to take 3 points and they will push the squad forward. Thus, Brentford will not have many situations close to Caoimhin Kelleher’s goal and they only look forward to counter-attacks.

Similar to Liverpool, Brentford had a 4-1 victory over weak opponent Port Vale in the FA Cup. In the Premier League, the home team at Brentford Community has the same 23 points as Crystal Palace but is temporarily ranked 13th due to poor difference in difference. The fact that they are not winning the last 4/6 matches and have 3 defeats, along with the poor away performance in the English Premier League this season, The Bees’ fans cannot help but worry. Specifically, coach Thomas Frank’s teachers and students have lost 4 of the last 6 away matches.

In particular, the defense is always a burning problem for Brentford. In the last 6 visits to the opponent’s field, the rookie team of the English Premier League 2021-22 conceded a goal in all 6 matches. The pressure from this lousy achievement is weighing heavily on the visitors’ feet and it’s hard for them to have points to leave.
