EPL: Leicester vs Tottenham

Last season, Leicester City could not get even 1 point at their King Power fortress. Further, the last 3 times they welcomed Spurs, the Foxes only won once. However, before the away team is not in high form and encounters losses in force, coach Brendan Rodgers’ teachers and students  are facing a great opportunity to break that sad spell.

Unlike Tottenham, after a series of forgettable matches in early December, Leicester City is making a strong comeback in recent matches. In the last 5 matches, teachers and coach Brendan Rodgers lost 1 and won 3. The only defeat was against Manchester City in the Premier League, but fans of the King Power Stadium team should not be too worried because The Citizens are still showing their superiority over the rest of the league.

So thanks to this moment, the home team desperately needs points to get a position in the Top 5. Currently, they are 10 points behind the 5th ranked team Arsenal but have played less than 2 matches. More importantly, Leicester City’s attack is showing many encouraging signs. Not only the revival of the main striker Jamie Vardy, the home team also owns a Youri Tielemans in form with 5 goals in the Premier League this season. The brilliance of the attack will be an important premise to help the Foxes engulf Spurs at King Power.

While Leicester City’s rival, Tottenham, is in decline in recent times. Coach Antonio Conte’s teachers and students only won 2 matches in the past 5 matches on all fronts. Most recently, they have just let Chelsea defeat with a score of 0-1 in the semi-final second leg of the Carabao Cup, despite being kicked at home. That defeat caused the Rooster to stop in this arena.

Not only that, the London team’s performance away from home is also extremely weak. Tottenham did not win the last 4/5 away matches and received 2 defeats. Another loss seems to be foretold for coach Antonio Conte and his students when they have to march to King Power in the match of round 17 of the English Premier League.
