The undefeated former interim WBA super featherweight world champion, the American Chris Colbert, will face the undefeated Dominican Olympic athlete, Héctor Luis García, in a WBA super featherweight world eliminator, in the main event that will take place this Saturday, February 26, at “The Cosmopolitan”, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The fight, which is promoted by the Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) series, will be televised on Showtime.
Both stars are reported ready for their fight, after beating the official Roman, with Chris Colbert registering 128.8 pounds and Hector Garcia 129.6 pounds in Las Vegas.
Originally, Colbert was scheduled to challenge the WBA super featherweight world champion, the Venezuelan Roger Gutierrez. But, the Venezuelan champion tested positive for COVID-19 and now he won’t be making that mandatory defense against Colbert.
Without a doubt, against Garcia, Colbert (16-0, 6 KO) has a very dangerous challenge, despite proving his worth at 130 pounds, facing respectable competition, in his 16 professional fights.
