ITA: AC Milan vs Inter Milan

AC Milan’s performance in the past 1 month is extremely impressive with unbeaten results on all fronts. With that sublimation momentum, the Rossoneri will not have too many difficulties to knock down an opponent who is in poor form and is also a team in the same city as Inter Milan in the semi-final first leg of the Italian Cup.

The performances of AC Milan last time are very impressive. After a 1-2 defeat in the match against Spezia in mid-January, the Rossoneri came back strongly with a 6-match unbeaten streak, including 3 victories. As a result, coach Stefano Pioli’s teachers and students were unbeaten to 10 out of the previous 11 appearances. In Serie A, the San Siro Stadium team also surpassed the two big men, Inter Milan and Napoli, to rise to No. 1 in the rankings.

AC Milan’s attack is showing a respectable strength. In the last 4 matches, the Rossoneri scored a total of 8 goals. From the main striker Olivier Giroud, to the surrounding satellites like Rafael Leao, Franck Kessie, Junior Messias, Brahim Diaz or Sandro Tonali are all in high form. They are ready to penetrate any defense.

Inter Milan has had a pretty impressive start to 2022. They won 5 consecutive unbeaten matches on all fronts (including 2 victories). However, the more he played the team nicknamed the Nerazzurri, the more it revealed his instability. As evidenced by the last 6 appearances, the team under the direction of coach Simone Inzaghi only won 1 more, but lost 3 matches, and especially among them, lost 0-2 to the opponent below. Like Sassuolo in round 26 of the Italian league.

The away field is not a big fulcrum for Inter Milan. In 4/5 away matches of the nearest opponent, the home team Giuseppe Meazza did not win and received 1 defeat (lost to Real Madrid 0-2 in the Champions League). Notably, in 3 of those 4 matches, they could not shake the opponent’s net even once. Therefore, the fans of the Nerazzurri are also very worried when they have to face the same city rival AC Milan in the semi-final first leg of the upcoming Italian Cup.
