EFL: Fulham vs Luton Town

Luton Town is in dire need of points to retain a place in the top 6, but Fulham also needs a win to officially take the title in the Championship this season. Despite being in poor form, with the home ground fulcrum and completely superior force, it is believed that Fulham will get the victory after the upcoming match.

Fulham is yet to be confirmed as the Championship champion, after a series of recent disappointing results. Having a relatively safe score compared to the second-ranked Bournemouth has made Fulham extremely subjective. Currently, coach Marco Silva’s team is at the top of the rankings with 87 points from 44 matches. They are 5 points ahead of Bournemouth and will be crowned if they beat Luton Town in this competition. In fact, despite not winning the tournament, Fulham also had a ticket to return to the Premier League.

Fulham has lost 3 of the last 5 matches. Last weekend they were empty-handed at home when they welcomed Nottingham. However, coach Marco Silva’s side have the best home record in the Championship this season, with 43 points from 22 matches. Fulham have been held to a draw in their last two matches against Luton. However, in the last 6 confrontations, Fulham are completely unbeaten (draw 3, win 3). The fact that the opponent in the last match is called Sheffield United, it is clear that Fulham needs to beat Luton Town at all costs to be crowned soon.

Not appreciated before the Championship this season kicks off. However, Luton Town is making the experts fall back with an unbelievable stable performance. Coach Nathan Jones’ team finished 12th in the Championship last season. However, Luton Town is currently in 5th place with 72 points from 44 matches. If the current ranking is maintained, Luton Town will have a great opportunity to advance to the Premier League playing field after the play-off round.

A win over Fulham will give Luton Town 75 points; they can’t keep up with fourth-placed Huddersfield Town or third-placed Nottingham Forest but remember Luton Town is tied on points with sixth-placed Sheffield United. The visitors have picked up seven points from their last three matches, beating Forest and Cardiff City before drawing 1-1 with Blackpool.
