Boxing: Kovalev vs Pulev

The official weigh-in of TrillerVerz 5 took place yesterday afternoon in Los Angeles, just a day before the sensational event hosted by the Kia Forum. The Trillerz 5 Lineage of Greatness features legendary boxing families and a one-off Verzuz match between Cypress Hill and Onyx.

Sergey Kovalev vs Tervel Pulev, 10 Rounds Cruiserweight: Kovalev last fought a draw with current No. 1 pound4pounder in the world ‘Canelo’ Alvarez before being brutally stopped by Canelo in the 11th round. His illustrious career includes victories over Bernard Hopkins, Eleider Alvarez twice, Jean-Pascal twice and Isaac Chilemba. He also has two highly controversial losses to Andre Ward in his record.

The really tough Tervel Pulev, the 2012 Olympics bronze medalist, younger brother of two-time world heavyweight title contender Kubrat Pulev, returns to the ring after a knockout win over Vikapita Meroro on July 29, 2021. He is currently the holder of the WBA International Cruiserweight title.

Kubrat Pulev vs. Herry Forrest: Kubrat “The Cobra” Pulev (28-2-0, 14 KOs) will face Jerry Forrest in a scheduled 10-round heavyweight bout. Pulev returns after a first-round KO win over Frank Mir on November 27, 2021. Pulev has defeated numerous great heavyweight boxers including Samuel Peter, Hughie Fury, Dereck Chisora, Tony Thompson, Alexsandr Ustinov and Alexander Dimitrenko. He suffered his only two defeats against heavyweight world champions Wladimir Klitschko and Anthony Joshua.
